Maybe your husband or kids have already lined up a perfect Mother’s Day gift for you for this Sunday (…but how to wrap a Day of No Responsibilities)?  If, you happen to be fielding little queries by week end of “is there anything you want?” — and in truth nothing specific is coming to mind — consider sending them to this site, where every gift is in turn a gift back to a good cause:

Presents for Purpose

We were taken by the story behind this site, created by a member of the Executive Moms Network, Alayna Kassan-Zayas and her partner Cynthia Dressel who met after each had successfully fought Hodgkins Disease, a form of Lymphoma Cancer. Both women became active volunteers in traditional fundraising, until in 2002, they designed their first retail collection, a line of trendy crystal watches that quickly sold out and enabled them to give $20,000 of profits to the Lymphoma Research Foundation. Thus Presents For Purpose was born.

As it has evolved, has expanded to have merchandise spanning categories including jewelry, apparel, accessories, stationery and gifts, home and spa… and they have also expanded to work with dozens of significant charities that help people live healthier, happier and safer lives.  As a shortcut, there’s a Mother’s Day Gift section with some cute and well-priced accessories and jewelry, but it’s worth it to look through all the gifts for her (or simply ask for a gift certificate).

For future consideration, you can shop the site for weddings, kids, teachers, and corporate gifts.

However, whatever you get, give, or choose to do, most importantly: Happy Mother’s Day.
