Just this week we were asked if we had any tips on where to find fun and fabulous desktop decor… and it reminded us of one of our favorite Momorandums of a couple of years ago.  Thus, as you begin that back-to-school shopping, enjoy this little Momorandum encore, and let it inspire a little fall fashion update for you… for your desktop:

We found a bunch of fun desktop pick-me-ups on the website SeeJaneWork.com …

In striving to get an office organized in style, we thought we were getting funky by using multi-colored file folders. Apparently there are far more artful options, which you can enjoy perusing on this site.  With its fun and decidedly feminine aesthetic, you can find folders in bold polkadot prints or elegant black and white toile. And while perhaps not suited to every business occasion, a binder like one of these ($18) would seem to sweeten even the driest of documents housed within.

In fact, almost all of their desk accessories have been chosen to be a fresh alternative to standard manila or black plastic Staples fare. Among our favorites are vintage wire desk trays ($58 each), document holders that look like giant, colorful clothespins and Thomas Paul mousepads, desk trays, and simple pencil holders, a bargain at $6 a piece.

You can even get eye-appeal and eco-friendly at the same time: look for a special "eco friendly" section with selections ranging from recycled paper… to more zen-like offerings (really, who doesn’t need a Feng Soy Diffuser in their office?) …to whimsical accessories like these clipboards ($19.50) that have the added benefit of being made from recycled wood.

It may all be work… but it doesn’t have to look that way.
