To the “why didn’t anyone think of this sooner?” file, we have to offer this submission…

It’s not a booster chair– but a chair booster– called Kaboost…

It’s a simple but ingenious concept: rather than fit a booster seat to any given chair, table or counter, by giving a little lift to the height of a regular chair from the legs, any young child can instantly have a real seat at the table, along with everyone else.

We gave this a test-run — and it’s now a fixture in our kitchen…

Kaboost works with almost any four-legged chair
; its spring-loaded arms adjust to fit, and interestingly once the chair is “kaboosted,” it is actually more stable than it was before, thanks to a widened, rubberized base. It is also easily portable, a tremendous plus when travelling, whether to a restaurant or friends and family, where the toddler-sized seating options may be a big roll of the dice. (Though note from experience– Kaboost with a folding chair? Not so good. Or perhaps we should simply say, toddler with a folding chair– not so good)…
