As a women’s organization, we would be remiss if we did not acknowledge that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Undoubtedly, there are so many causes worth bedecking ourselves in a rainbow of ribbons, but as breast cancer remains the #1 cause of cancer-related deaths among women, consider giving the pink one a prominent place.

Fortunately, there are a multitude of fun ways you can also support the cause; here are just a few…

Buy a bracelet…

Our friends at jewelry company Carolee are marking their 35th anniversary with a limited edition collection of their popular “Sterling Sentiments” bangle bracelets, inscribed with words of inspiration sourced from celebs like Beyonc?, Deborah Norville and Julianna Margulies. Each bracelet is $100, with all profits going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. (We hear they are flying off the shelves).

Prettify Yourself…

Some of the world’s leading beauty brands dedicate themselves to Breast Cancer research this month, with limited editions of popular products, like this Clinique moisturizer, for which $10 of every sale will be directed to the Breast Cancer Resarch Foundation. Other brands with similar specials include Estee Lauder (which has a pink ribbon collection), Bobbi Brown, Aveda, Jo Malone, Darphin, Creme de la Mer and Origins. (Full disclosure: Estee Lauder Companies is where you can find us during the day… but we wouldn’t write about it if we didn’t really believe in it).

Browse through Bloomies…

To show their support, Bloomingdales has an entire boutique (in-store and online), the Little Pink Boutique, in which all of the merchandise sold will have their proceeds donated back to Breast Cancer Research (generally 10% of sales). Included are tees, lingerie, dresses, boots, hoodies, jewelry, champagne flutes… and this special edition umbrella we really like. What better to symbolize the fact that we all need a little pink protection…
