Learn More About our 4th Annual Holiday Rap and Wrap, and how you might WIN a family VACATION to a Beaches Resort, below!

——————————————————————————–

This week’s onslaught of bad weather in many parts of the country was an unwelcome reminder that we are heading into the season of indoor activities. If you’re lucky enough to have a Children’s Museum nearby, you’ve probably frequented it more than once. Even so, here’s a tip that you probably did not know:

If you’re a member of ONE Children’s Museum… it can actually be a passport to MANY.

Many of the nation’s museums geared to kids are members of the Association of Children’s Museums, and this Association happens to have a Reciprocal Program. Through it, there is the little-known but valuable benefit that by being a member of one, you can almost always use your membership card for free admission to any of the others.

Broaden your kid culture horizons nearby…
If you live in New York City and have been to the Children’s Museum of Manhattan more times than you can count, free admission might be just the impetus you need to try a trip to the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, the Staten Island Children’s Museum, or the Steppingstones Museum for Children in Norwalk, CT– ALL of which are reciprocal members.

Or, member or not, you can consult the ACM listings to help plan activities away from home.

There are now 299 ACM member Children’s Museums in the U.S. and around the world; experiencing them in different cities can make for a great tourist destination for the family. Want to visit the largest? (It’s The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, which has a total of 433,000 square feet). Get familiar with the 12 Children’s Museums in Florida should a trip to the Sunshine State prove rainy… Or should your children be globe hoppers, you can swing a trip to one of the museums just for them in cities like Seoul, Vienna or Jerusalem.
