Investment clubs? So five-minutes ago. (Actually, so 1990s when the stock market was rocking). The new-millenium version for women who want to be smart with their finances?

MONEY CLUBS.

Conceived by the women behind the non-profit Women’s Institute for Financial Education (WIFE.org), Money Clubs encourage women to come together in small groups (or in chat rooms on-line) to work through their common money issues and achieve individual financial goals. Rather than focusing specifically on stock picks, the goal is to take a 360-degree view of a woman’s financial issues. A recent phenomenon, clubs seem to be popping up all over, while participation in on-line groups is growing as well.

Chances are this is not the way to an inside track on the next Google opportunity… but using a little girl power to make you feel a little more empowered with the money you have… might just be the next best thing.
