Even if you hold that Big-Apple-loving view that all of New York is a playground, as the temperatures stay below 30, you’ve probably been struck by the scarcity of great indoor spaces for kids. Museums and Barnes & Nobles aside, it’s an unfortunate paradox that as more and more family choose to live in or visit the city, almost all of the great indoor playspaces have disappeared.

Fortunately, though, one new indoor playspace has entered the scene: SYDNEY’S PLAYGROUND

Since July, a loft in TriBeCa has become the new home of what now can be billed as Manhattan’s only indoor playground for families with young children. The 6,000 square foot space is bright, colorful and immaculate… and well-designed to allow kids to play freely while their parents can actually sit, sip a cappuccino from the cafe, and potentially even hold a conversation with fellow grown-ups (while keeping a watchful eye, of course).

Best features? A mini-city of their own for kids to climb, play in and explore, as well as plenty of toys, equipment, an infants’ room called The Womb, and a new bouncy house (think carnival moon-walker).
