Upon becoming a mother, Deb Wasser could not help but notice that her social life as she once knew it would never be the same. However, Deb found a way to still love the nightlife in a way that fit her new life… with her friends, her fella… and even her littlest love.

FAMILY DISCO NIGHT at Jack Rose is a Weekly Party that is Adult-Worthy, Yet Kid-Friendly

Every Sunday evening from 5:00 to 6:30, the upstairs of midtown restaurant Jack Rose is transformed into a happening dance club for adults and kids– minus the velvet rope, and before bedtime (theirs, if not yours). A full bar helps the big people get their groove going, while a special kids’ bar serves up punch from a disco ball-inspired fountain along with “wacky snacks.”

According to Deb, Family Disco Night is a way to end your weekend on a high note (and exhaust the kids). On any given week, feature dancers are on hand to teach you and yours everything from hip-hop to the hula. Dance together, or let the kids exercise their socialization skills while you exercise yours.

Single Parents Welcome… or Big Groups Too

Indeed, according to Deb, there are often two stories going on at these parties: kids making new friends and single parents making dates. (Matchmaker.com has even started co-hosting “Double-Dating Balls” with Family Disco).

Family Disco evenings can also be the basis for everything from a christening party to a way to go out with your colleagues without taking more time away from those at home.

Admission is $12 per person (kids are two-for-one)

Party favors for the kids are included. JACK ROSE is located at 47th Street and 8th Ave. in Manhattan. For more information, call 212-586-7425. Party ON.
