(DON’T FORGET: RSVP NOW, AND SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE NOV. 7TH BREAKFAST AT FAO… PLUS CHECK OUT HIGHLIGHTS AND PHOTOS FROM OUR FIRST EVENT AT www.executivemoms.com)!!

Why wait until next week to start celebrating Halloween? (Pumpkins are just so lovely, and let us point out that any additional wearing of those Halloween costumes nicely amortizes the money and/or time involved).

Consider heading this weekend to the NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDENS for their Halloween festivities

Bronx River Parkway at Fordham Road, Bronx, New York (718) 817-8700

First, explore their GOODNIGHT GARDEN AND GOBLIN FUN

It’s this Saturday and Sunday, October 26 and 27, in the Adventure Garden, 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; and the Family Garden 1-5:30 p.m.

At the Adventure Garden it’s all about the goblins, ghosts, and creepy-crawlies of Halloween. Enjoy the fall foliage and crisp autumn air while the kids make ghostly leaf rubbings, create friendly ghosts and design their own pumpkin faces. In the Family Garden, watch your urbane offspring get a feel for the country life by harvesting and tasting fresh vegetables (you mean they don’t come from Food Emporium)?

And On Sunday, Celebrate Halloween on HAUNTED WALK

Sunday, October 27th, 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm ($2 plus Garden Admission)

For the tenth consecutive year, enjoy the spectacle of lavishly costumed, larger-than- life creatures masterminded by the artist who developed the Village Halloween Parade (you know, the one you went to BEFORE you had kids). These creations have helped turn the Haunted Walk into one of the top Halloween attractions in the New York area.
