There’s a reason those Google guys became gazillionaires– most of us turn to that webpage more than any other to find whatever it is that we seek. However, there’s a lesser-known alternative that can make every search lead to something good, at least for others…

Search with Good Search and Do Good for Others…

Goodsearch.com is a search engine that has the same functionality as Google or Yahoo, but with a philanthropic twist: every time you do a search, the charity or school you designate earns money. The more you search, the more they make.

How Does it Work?

First, you select from one of thousands of charities or schools already enrolled (or you can enlist a qualified new one). Then, every time you search, a percentage of their advertising revenue is redirected to that charity. Each web search is estimated to generate about $.01, which might not sound like much… however if 1,000 people use GoodSearch for a certain school just 2 times a day (and think about how often you search the web), that would equate to $7,300 in extra funding in a year (just for doing what you’d be doing anyway).

Add it to your Browser’s “Favorites,” pre-select your school or favorite charity (or choose more than one)… and then let them give, everytime you search.
