at Toys “R” Us Times Square

A rainy November morning and an early arrival time did not prove too daunting for over 100 Executive Moms who joined us for our 2nd annual Holiday “Rap and Wrap,” held this year in the brand new event space at Toys “R” Us’ Times Square’s flagship store.

Breakfast and a little morning mingling got guests energized for the first, “Rap” portion of the event, which was kicked off with some opening words from Executive Moms President Marisa Thalberg (below)…


This year, the event was themed to the season of gift-giving, but with recognition that an Executive Mom’s holiday shopping list can be as complex as it is impossible to get through. Creative Consultant Daphne Shirley, President of ShirleyGirl LLC, presented a panoply of fun, funky and unusual gift ideas for everyone on those lists (from babysitters to bosses). and so no note-taking was required, every attendee received a fabulous gift index and shopping guide in her gift bag!


And one lucky attendee, Kathryn Nusbaum, also walked away with a big gift for her whole family, as the winner of four tickets to “A Christmas Carol: The Musical,” compliments of Radio City Entertainment.

Then, the much anticipated “Wrap” portion of the event got underway. Having the opportunity to shop the store with NO one else there was a small slice of nirvana, and attendees took full advantage!
