I am constantly making changes. I work 5 days a week, and I cannot get a set schedule. I either work 7-3, 3-10, or sometimes I work a mid-shift. I feel like I can never get enough time with my family because too much of it goes to working. But the family has to be taken care of. My hubby stays home with the kids. We can’t afford daycare, nor…[Read more]

I am feeling very discriminated against at work. I’m a good hard worker. I take extra work home that we don’t have the time to do at work. I offer to do these things at work because I know we’re all busy. I had plans on the 4th of July with my husband and our kids to bbq and at last minute, my boss asked me if I’d work a double for him so him and…[Read more]

Well, we cannot only not afford day care, but we don’t believe in putting either of our kids in day care. And because it has taken me 5 yrs to get to $11, I cannot afford to quit or even be fired. I have just been given a verbal warning because I was on docs orders and in the ER and off work for the whole week… therefore he said it was still an…[Read more]

It Is a small town, but it is bigger than the town I am originally from. There are a lot of businesses around town, but we are 1 of the worst towns in the entire state for employment right now. He has kept tabs on me with our district manager so I know I can’t really talk to her. I used to love my job, now I’m starting to not like it. At least I…[Read more]

I have been looking into other jobs. I am thinking about going back and redoing my CNA certification. I took the training in Junior and Senior yrs of HS and all I needed to do was take my state certification. I ended up letting it expire because I was nervous. But I’ve always wanted to be in something where I can help people. It usually only takes…[Read more]

I haven’t taken any CNA training since I was a Junior/Senior in HS. I passed and was able to go be state certified, but I let it pass me by and expire. Now I’m thinking that since I’ve always wanted to help people either by being a nurse, or in a day care, my fastest and easiest way to that is to be a CNA. I can’t remember how long it takes to…[Read more]

oh ya, and I don’t really have the money at all, so that’s another thing that’s holding me back, but I know CNA’s make pretty good money. Especially being that it has taken me 5 yrs just to get to $11/hr. Most CNA’s start out more than that, which financially, would be GREAT. The more the better, because it’d take a lot of stress off our shoulders…[Read more]

@stacihendrickson Hello, I saw that you said your husband is a lawyer. Do you think that you two may be able to give me a little advice in what I should do? I am going through a rough time at work and fear I may lose my job although it’s all over medical relativity. If you could read my post, discussion, blog, whichever… I’m 26 as well as my…[Read more]

I have worked for my employer for 5 years. I loved my job. I started out as a cashier, then moved to a photo technician, then photo lab supervisor, and now I am a shift supervisor/manager. I have transferred to my […]
