Executive Moms held it’s 4th Annual Holiday Rap and Wrap in partnership with Toys ‘R Us Times Square for the third year in a row. This year, there were new twists, including a charitable alliance with the organization Room to Grow that lended new meaning and excitement to this much-favored event. The stage was set early in the morning with a breakfast buffet and chairs dressed with giftbags that included a new Firefly mobile phone for every guest.

As guests arrived, they checked out the tables and forged new conversations, while a PBS crew shooting a show about Executive Moms documented the action!

Executive Moms President Marisa Thalberg (center) joined with executives from Firefly Mobile, Antonia Werner and CEO Fred Bullock.

Marisa began the program with some welcoming comments to the audience, followed by a motivating speech by Ami Dar (below), founder of Idealist.org and Action Without Borders (and our first male speaker!)… on “The Practical Guide to Giving Back… for Women Who Have Practically No Time to Give.”

Every Executive Moms event has its rewards, but this event was filled with prizes—from some of the hottest holidays gifts from Toys ‘R Us… to a grand prize Caribbean family vacation to a Beaches resort (which a jubilant Elizabeth Newberry was happy to accept, below)…

Following the “Rap” portion of the event, guests were able to enjoy the “Wrap” portion—PRIVATE shopping amidst the floors of what is otherwise a packed Toys ‘R Us Times Square… and their overachiever tendencies clearly extended to their ability to power shop while there…

Happy Holidays, stay tuned for our next events, coming in 2006!
